Robert Wilson, Chairman of Nelsons, is a passionate advocate of complementary medicine. Brought up in that tradition since childhood, Robert joined the family company in 1987 after graduating from Trinity College, Dublin. He also trained at the Harvard Business School. He worked in marketing and became Managing Director, before assuming Chairmanship of the company in 2000.
Robert's knowledge and experience of the sector is extensive and he has a deep-rooted personal commitment to furthering complementary medicine which reaches far beyond his role at Nelsons. He plays an instrumental role within the industry as a whole and is Chairman of the British Association of Homeopathic Manufacturers (BAHM). Nelsons also holds a board seat of ECHAMP (European Coalition on Homeopathic and Anthroposophic Medicinal Products). He is also a trustee of The Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health.
Robert is Chairman of the Barcapel Foundation, which has an extensive charitable giving programme. He is Chairman of Prostate Scotland and a Trustee of the Scottish Civic Trust.
