What Is Arnica?

Arnica montana, the Latin name for arnica, has been recognized for its beneficial natural properties since the 16th century. It has been harvested for centuries in the mountain peaks and marshes of Europe and North America. A vibrant yellow flower often found in mountainous regions, Arnica has been used to soothe and care for the skin.

Herbal & Homeopathic Uses of Arnica

  • Used topically, herbal Arnica can be applied to the skin as a balm, cream, gel or muscle rub.
  • Some studies have suggested the anti-inflammatory effects of Arnica may help to reduce pain and swellingas well as assisting the healing process.[1]
  • Homeopathic Arnica in highly diluted form is taken orally as a pillule.
  • Based on traditional homeopathic use, Arnica aids the healing process of bruises, sprains and muscle aches.
