Michael Lockett

Michael Lockett

Michael graduated in fashion engineering from Manchester Metropolitan University, whilst being employed as a graduate trainee at Dewhirst, clothing supplier to Marks and Spencer. He then went onto become a General Manager for the company at plants in the UK and Europe.

Since that time Michael has gained over 30 years of experience in fashion and lifestyle brands holding senior management and executive roles including Logistics Director for Jacques Vert plc, Merchandising and Sourcing Director at J. Barbour & Sons and Vice President for Berghaus in its Asia Pacific region. He also gained an MBA from Durham University in 2002.

Prior to joining Nelsons, Michael was CEO of FitFlop, a global footwear company known for its comfort and fashion, for 6 years. During this time, he was instrumental in building a profitable global company with operations and brand recognition in over 60 countries. In recent years he steered the business to optimise its e-Commerce and digital D2C channels.

In his spare time Michael is an avid sportsman with a keen interest in football, rugby and tennis and has recently achieved his private pilot’s licence.

Olivia graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Exeter; Legal Practice Course from the College of Law; and a Postgraduate Diploma in IP Law & Practice from the University of Oxford.  Olivia is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales.

Olivia is Nelsons’ General Counsel and Company Secretary and a member of both Nelsons’ Executive Leadership Team and Board.  Olivia is also Nelsons’ Data Protection Officer.  Together with the legal team, Olivia advises the group across a breadth of disciplines including commercial, IP, data protection, corporate, regulatory, litigation, governance, risk and compliance.  She is an advocate of delivering value-add legal business partnering to enable companies’ strategic ambitions.

Prior to joining Nelsons, Olivia worked as an associate solicitor at international law firm, Gowling WLG, where she delivered commercially focussed legal advice to a range of global clients across the healthcare, manufacturing, and FMCG sectors, including an industry secondment to Unilever’s UK & Ireland legal team. 

Olivia also serves as a Director of the British Brands Group.

Olivia is a champion for giving back to the community, and diversity, equity and inclusion.  She enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and son.

Simon Hodge

Simon has a background in finance and analytics with over 20 years of experience leading high performing teams. Prior to joining Nelsons as the group’s Chief Financial Officer, Simon was Vice President of Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP), Finance and Analytics at GlaxoSmithKline.

Simon brings with him a wealth of experience having held global finance leadership roles across a breadth of regions and business units including UK, Northern Europe, and Africa. He is well versed in managing complex businesses, implementing strategic capital investments and delivering value through system and process enhancements. 

His responsibilities have included integration of new companies, development of new commercial regions and the delivery of new business models. In his role prior to joining Nelons he was responsible for delivering the global single instance of SAP for GSK and subsequent adoption of new technologies to improve efficiencies.  Simon is a passionate believer in developing people and promoting skills and capabilities across his teams to deliver first class business partnering.

A keen sportsman, Simon lives in Surrey and is married with 2 young children.

After graduating from Hull University, Steve worked in the Chemical and Crop Protection industry in the European, Asian, North and South American and African Market, representing UK industry at trade associations.

Since moving to Nelsons, Steve has been responsible for global regulations, has played an active role in New Product Development and is responsible for pharmacovigilance drug safety and post-market surveillance.

Steve is a board member of various trade associations, including the BAHM (British Association of Homeopathic Manufacturers), ECHAMP (European Coalition for Homeopathic & Anthroposophic Medicinal Products), and HFMA (Health Food Manufacturers Association), regularly attending meetings in Brussels and across Europe. Outside of the EU, he is also a member of the HPCUS (Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States), and sits on the COP, S&C and MRC committees.

Matt Wilson

Supply Chain Director

After graduating in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey, Matt has held a number of senior roles in Pharma and Chemicals manufacturing businesses.  Most recently at GlaxoSmithKline where he worked across a variety of Supply Chain disciplines including manufacturing, technical development, engineering, EHS and third party supply.  

Prior to joining Nelsons Matt’s most recent position at GSK was as Global API Operations Director where he led an international team and was accountable for the operational performance of API suppliers globally ensuring a robust supply performance within the company’s internal and external manufacturing network.  

As an Operational Excellence Green Belt, Matt combines his vast experience of Good Manufacturing Practices with a passion for business improvement, high performing teams and driving efficiencies to enhance delivery and reduce complexity.  

While at GSK he was Head of the Environmental Centre for Excellence for 6 years leading a team of dedicated sustainability professionals to enable GSK to achieve its mission to become the most environmentally sustainable pharmaceutical company.  Prior to GSK Matt held senior operational roles at Procter and Gamble with responsibility for managing manufacturing, maintenance and capital project teams.
