Nelsons appoints new Director of Quality and Regulatory Operations, Richard Bowling

Following the departure of Debbie McCullough, Nelsons have a new Director of Quality and Regulatory Operations – Richard Bowling started at the UK’s leading manufacturer of natural healthcare products on 1st September 2016.

Richard will be responsible for maintaining Nelsons high standards towards quality and regulatory compliance as well as driving the programme for continuous improvement.

He brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous role as Global Head of Operational Excellence at The Tecan Group, a medical device company based in Switzerland. He was responsible for the company’s Quality Management System and ensured compliance to global regulations for sites in Europe and US.  Prior to Tecan, Richard was Head of Quality for Reckitt Benckiser, leading the global quality team and setting the quality direction for the organisation.

His vision for Quality and Regulatory Operations at Nelsons is to support the economic success of the business by delivering high quality health and well-being products to our consumers and to protect the brands by ensuring compliance to regulations in all markets.  

Richard comments: “I am pleased to join the Executive Leadership Team at Nelsons and want to build on the good foundations we already have following a successful FDA audit earlier this year. My first priority will be to develop a clear strategy for Quality and Regulatory for the next five years.”
